I've decided to hold this space while I think about whether to begin to blog or not.

My regular homepage is here.

My critique of New York Times Magazine "Ethicist" columnist Randy Cohen is here. Cohen apparently thinks that he was badly done by, although the "clean air and public education" crack is a little odd given that I was criticizing him for some decidedly less popular positions, like the idea that giving to charity is unethical. Nick Gillespie frames the debate.

My book The Multiculturalism of Fear, published in 2000 by Oxford University Press. I have also written chapters in books including John Samples, ed., James Madison and the Future of Limited Government; Will Kymlicka and Ian Shapiro, eds., Ethnicity and Group Rights; and Will Kymlicka and Wayne Norman, eds., Citizenship in Diverse Societies.
